Located on the river to the south of Chinatown, the massive Asiatique outdoor entertainment complex offers a wide variety of activities. While it may be hot, the bazaar always has stunning lighting, creating an ambience reminiscent of Christmas. Enjoy the city’s largest Ferris wheel, restaurants, a moderate retail centre, and other attractions.
Go Ice Skating
One of the city’s few public skating rinks is located at CentralWorld, a major shopping mall in the Ratchaprasong neighbourhood. Even though it’s not a large rink, the blue lights strung across the trees make for a beautiful setting. Next door, you’ll find a great outdoor beer garden. CentralWorld has a lot of holiday cheer to offer, including a seven-story atrium with a massive Christmas display.

Bangkok is a great place to do Christmas shopping any time of the year. Almost every major store in Thailand will have some discount or promotion going on throughout December, making the holiday season a perfect time to shop. Not only that, but you can find gift-wrapping services at almost every shopping centre. You can also go Christmas shopping at the Chatuchak Weekend Market. One of the biggest open-air marketplaces in the world, it is a great place to find unique souvenirs, including Thai silks, handicrafts, apparel, and more.
